Lyla finally put something in her mouth!! Hand me the celery please!! I've been waiting anxiously for lyla to put things in her mouth.. she has gone 9months with hardly putting anything in her mouth. No food, no toys, no fuzzies.. NOTHING! She wouldn't even hold her bottle. I thought to myself.. Oh no she will never hold anything.. she will miss the development step all together.. well she proved me wrong today! No need to worry mom.. I've just been taking my time!! I'm so proud of her and her celery stick!!

I have enjoyed being lylas mommy so much! I try and think what my life was like without her.. it was really boring! She has brought so much joy and happiness to our family! The last few months has been so rewarding.. she has started to do little things like crawling, clapping, saying hi and mama. It's amazing how smart babies are! Here are lylas stats..

She is crawling.. fast
Hi was her first word.. then mama
Loves adult food and will honestly eat anything.. broccoli, chicken, sweet potatoes, spaghetti, cottage cheese, pears.. ANYTHING!
She claps and it's probably the cutest thing I've ever seen
She is YO GABBA GABBAS biggest fan.. broby and foofa are our favorite..
She also stops dead in her tracks the second she hears yo gabba and starts clapping
Is a great sleeper...finally
Still takes three naps..
Falls asleep in the car everytime.. I could drive to my mailbox and back and the lil thang will be asleep.. it's bitter sweet.
Just realized she can hold objects and put them in her mouth
Has two teeth and working on her top two
Loves dogs.. we tell her she is going to be a veteranarian

Today my baby is 8 months. I say it everytime but I don't know where the time goes. I've loved this age. It gets better and better.. here's lylas stats..

She No longer enjoys jar food.. so she eats everything I eat

favorite foods are avocado, egg yolk, chicken, cottage cheese, carrots, green beans, cheese, bread, noodles, soup, And yogurt

She still loves her bottle but also enjoys a drink from her sippie

She crawls.. on Christmas day

She plays with her toys on her own

Sleeps through the night mostly and is up at 7

By golly..my baby is growing way too fast. Time goes by so quickly!! I've enjoyed every bit of it.. my mom tells me lylas personality reminds her of me as a baby.. she already has a sense of humor. It's amazing how smart they are. Here are her stats..

Can sit up
Sitting in shopping carts
Using a highchair
Rolls n rolls n rolls
One bottom tooth, a vampire, and a second bottom coming through
Her hair is ever growing
People ask me if I color it (really people)
Last time at 6months she weighed 18.5.. she's gained atleast a pound maybe two

I cant resist a baby in jammies.. especially my baby! Its so hard for me not to pick her up n snuggle her in my bed when she is so cute asleep in her crib. Its a good thing she likes her space while she is sleeping.. cuz we all know she would be in my bed!! Lyla is so big.. i dont know what im going to do. Today she wore a 12 month onsie.. granted it was on the smaller scale but really!!! She is about to bust out of 6-9month!! What comes after that.. this is happening all too fast for me.. please stay small forever..

5 months ..(in a week)

Lyla has grown so much in the last month. It blows my mind. She has been so much fun lately! Time flys way too fast.. heres an update.

Weight: 16 lbs
Height: 26 1/2 inches
90th percentile

She is a big girl.. Babies should double their birth weight by the age of 6 months.. lyla was 7.3 lbs.. shes more than doubled! We love our rollie baby. I was also 17 lbs at a year old so she is definantly taking after her dad with her size.. hopefully she has long legs! Ive documented some of her milestones on camera.. here are a few.

We have been trying for months to get lyla to laugh and have been unsuccessful.. i guess we arent funny! But one day.. lyla decided that dogs were so funny. And she hasnt stopped.. she wont laugh for anyone except my moms dogs and mace occasionally. We got her very first laugh recorded.. be patient.. its toward the end.

so adorable.

Next is my genius child. One day i was feeding her in the back while miles was driving and she decided to be a super smarty pants. I was doing sad face/ happy face and she copied me.. for a long time.. if u dont want to watch the whole video of my cute baby.. jump to 2 minutes. but ull miss out cuz she is too cute for words. I was crying and laughing. I couldnt believe babies are this smart. enjoy

Today we started rice cereal. I didnt quite know what to expect considering she is a tough customer with everything. I say she loved it.. and by she loved it i mean she didnt pull a super crazy face and didnt really spit it out.. she enjoyed about every other three bites. I love that she is getting so big. It has been so fun to watch her grow. Hopefully she sleeps a little better with the rice in her tum tum!

Lyls has gotten so big lately.. I dont know where my baby has gone! She has been so much fun! She is now succesfully sleeping in her crib. She wakes up at 5 for a bottle and goes back down till 8! Its still early for me.. But I cant complain! We have only gotten one laugh out of her.. We must not be that funny.. Or she is saving up her laughs for a grand finale! All in all my baby is a great baby! I love her!

Why oh why do babies have to teeth! I read and read about some babies being born with teeth.. How wonderfully scary! Those moms get to skip the grumpy whiney baby! I feel bad for teething babies.. How miserable.. Lyla has been fightin this tooth for a month and a half now.. And this morning I finally found two white dots poking through! Adorable!! They are an odd two.. They are the second and third from the bottom front two! Im excited to see two cute pearlies when I get a smile! And cant wait for my baby to be happy and not have a faucet dripping on my feet constantly!!! Pictures of her teeth coming soon!

Well almost 4 months.. We had our checkup today. Here are the stats..

I never understood why people give their babies that enormous hospital binki.. Maybe its the only one they take but.. We have come so far with binkis and have much smaller ones now! Lyla never even got to try the hospital bink.. I brought my own.. Buuuut since then my little babe has been teething and my mom bought her a pink obnoxious binki.. To our disbelief... She loved knawing on that thing... Soooo our clever minds put water in the little hole and froze the entire binki.. So theres a little ice cube in the center down to the nipple.. Let me tell u.. Best invention.. We have tried frozen washcloths, frozen socks, teethers.. And nothing is as good as this silly binki.. So I may not give it to my babies to suck on.. But its a must when teething! Try it out moms..

Today, my baby ticker has 77 days to go. Thank goodness it is wrong. Yes i have had miss Lyla Dawn. And ive been too crazy busy to blog.. Horrible i know. It should be at the top of my list. But better late than never.. yea? Well lyla is a complete dream. I honestly cant remember life without her. I was telling miles the other day that it feels as if she was here all along. Like we were supposed to have her right now. I feels so right. Ill take you through the birthday of Lyla and up until now. Speedy style.. Here we go

I got my amnio today. I was 37 weeks exactly. She was so great, gave me a nice air pocket to syringe her fluid to make sure her lungs were developed. Shortly after, we recieved a call saying we were scheduled at the hospital tonight at 8:00.

Arrived at the hospital. Dialated to a 2 and 90% effaced.

Had cervidel. Wasnt my fave, but did the job.

Woke up dialated to a 4.

Few hours later a 5.

I could tell i was progressing quickly, and i definantly stopped smiling so i kindly asked for an epideral.

Got it. Easy peasy.

and hour later could feel everything on my left side.. Anesthesiologist came in and gave me another swig of miracle juice.

Nurse came in, checked me immediately after my epideral. I was a 9 and needed to start pushing. She went to get supplies and i barfed. (my worst fear.. and it happened)

I started pushing and my epideral wore of again on my left side.. But i was so excited i could tolerate the pain..

Dr came in and i laughed lyla out.. Literally laughed and she came flying out!

and here we are three months later with the happiest baby on earth. We are so blessed and i feel so privilaged to be lylas mother. She has so many people around her who love her. She is one lucky laday! Hre is picture overload.. thats what i get for not blogging.. sorrrryy!

Its been awhile since ive blogged. I figured it was time..

I am now on bedrest. Ive been on it since i was 28 weeks, i am now 33 weeks. It really hasnt been too bad. I have my mom to thank for that. We have just been diving into our crafts. My blood pressure has been good and my urine results came back better.. so bedrest is obviously working. I miss work.. I miss the cash.. I miss getting out and being in the salon atleast once a week.. but u gotta do what you gotta do. We had an ultrasound today which was fun. Lyla is a growing string bean. She is head down face down and ready to go. We really wanted a 3d picture of her but she was being so stubborn and was happy right where she was. I was bummed at first until the tech screamed "wooooa.. look at all that hair!!" I guess lyla just wanted to show off her long locks today! So we got an awesome shot of the back of her head and all her hair and a quick 2d shot of her face. It was really cool to watch her opening her mouth in the ultrasound.. yawning and such.. adorable! She weighs 4lbs 11oz right now. Still measuring a tiny bit larger.. which is great! Here is two pictures of miss lyla.

So far my pregnancy has been interesting.. to say the least. We had an ultrasound today at 28 weeks. I was so excited to see the 3d pictures of miss Lyla. As she was measuring our sweet girl, she couldnt believe how much she weighed. Yes our little lyla is a chunkie monkey. She weighs a whole 3lbs already. Which is fabulous. Ive always wanted a big baby. Lyla is in the 69th percentile right now. With her measuring so big, they bumped my due date to May 9 instead of May 17.

Now for the interesting facts.. Once i hit 20 weeks, my blood pressure seemed to rise. Which we all know isnt the best thing. Ever since then ive been pricked, poked, and peed so many times in a cup i should be selling it to the black market for money (you know everyone wants a pregnant girls urine)! I have never had high blood pressure before... so this was all new to me. Luckily things are stable and havent moved down south yet. But i get the wonderful privilage to be monitored twice a week until the day Lyla arrives. Im calling it my spa day. I pretty much have little monitors stuck to my belly for a half hour and i hear babys heart and push a button everytime i feel movement.. I also get my choice of berry, apple, or grape juice and a granola bar. Its actually very relaxing. Unfourtunately, lyla doesnt wake up until about 10:00, soo she mostly sleeps during my 8:00 appointments. My dr. also told me the less active i am.. the longer i will stay pregnant.. So lucky me, i get to be myself and be lazy!

Also today i had the glucose test. Ive been told how nasty it is.. bla bla bla.. Let me tell u.. mine was freezing cold and tasted like an otter pop. it was delicious.

Lastly, i got a rhogam shot. Its called the RH factor. You see my blood tyoe is O- and miles blood type is A+.. Since our blood types are contradicting, they give it to u as a precaution so if lyla has a positive blood type like miles, my body wont reject any of my future pregnancies. If anything was bad today, it was this shot. They put it right in my butt!! Im still feeling the pain. I hate shots. Id much rather get my blood drawn a billion times! hahaha..

So all in all... everything is good. I feel good.. and Lyla is chubby and we love it! Here are some cute pictures of the chunky girl!

So after my boooring post, i decided how much i love to craft. I have so much to do for Lylas room and ill be honest.. Ive been slacking. Buuuuuut, ive figured out a plan.

First things first. I was back and forth with Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bags. Yes they are great.. easy.. convienient! But i cant get over the crazy prints. Especially this seasons. Nothing jumps out at me anymore.. so ive researched "what makes a diaper bag a great diaper bag" and i have a solution. I bought a purse and im going to sew in my own compartments for binkis, bottles, changing pad etc. Yes you may call me crazy and tell me ill end up buying a real diaper bag.. but let me reassure you.. I can guarantee that you all will be wanting my help for a stylish diaper bag! :) So ive been on the lookout and and this is my purse "soon to be diaper bag"...

Next is our favorite burp cloths. My clever mom decided to recreate these fashionable burp cloths we have seen in stores and such. So we did and so far they have been so fun to do. I really could go crazy and make matching burp cloths with lylas clothes. They are super simple and really take care of the mess (so i hear from our trustee consumers haha) . So here are a few of the ones ive made. Invite me to your shower and maybe.. jsut maybe you will be lucky enough to get a few of these dandies.

And then on to the sewing machine i want. I would like to have a sewing machine of my own. Ive been using my moms which is great.. but she eventually ahs to go to bed.. and well i stay up. So here is the humdinger i want.. nothing fancy.. but does the job.

And last but not least.. this great mirror for lylas room that i picked up from salvation army today for $25. It needs a good coat of white paint and a little gray to antique it and it will just be fanulous! Stay tuned..
Also.. my upcoming project i got from my good friend Christie. She made this adorable vintage frame to hold all her daughters bows and head bands.. So i am on the lookout for a cheap vintage frame. Here is a few pics of peoples.

Boredom

Lately I have been bored. You see, miles works late nights.. Im on his schedule.. So bed time for us is midnight. Which to some of you may be outlandish.. But to us its normal.. Granted we wake up at ten. But it works for us.. So on the nights he is home.. Hes my company, my ear to talk off, my movie partner, my last minute run to golden spoon partner.. He is my late night partner. But when work time rolls around.. Im bored! Bored of everything. Tv has gotten old. Movies are no fun when I watch them by myself. I hate reading books.. All my friends have kids that have bedtimes and cant hang out with me all hours of the night. My dog is independant now and wants nothing to do with me. Cleaning is out of the question.. So where does all this leave me you may ask yourself..It leaves me bored out of my mind! So you see.. Thats why im blogging now. Because im bored.. People say.. Oh take advantage of doing nothing because that will all change when lyla comes... And yes ur probably right, but lets be honest im ready for the challenge.. Ive had an easy life.. Never had to do much as far as working alot or cleaning the whole house alone. I have a great helpful husband that has given me this fabulous easy life. Four years of easy. So im ready.. Im ready to have a baby to talk to when im bored.. Im ready to have a baby to dress up when im bored.. Im ready to take care of a baby so im not bored. Im ready. But in the meantime I need to figure out how to cure my boredom.. I can only wash and dry my hair so many times. So if anyone has ideas or fun easy cheap projects.. Holla at a bored sista.

Today i found myself registering at Babiesrus with Miles. We actually had a really good time. I had talked to people about some of their favorite things they had purchased for their babe, so it went pretty easy and i knew pretty much what i was looking for.. except when it came to breast pumps. After seeing the price i truly thought about going old fashion and just squeezing into a paper cup. Breast pumps are sooooo expensive. I had no idea. I only work two days a week which is hardly part time and i guess i could do my papercup method. But do i really want to sit in the salon bathroom milking my utters. NO! So im at a crossroad.. Ive talked to friends and alot of them have borrowed other peoples.. Leave it to me to have a baby when everyone else is pregnant and needs their breast pumps. I also asked babiesrus if they rent out the motor and they do.. except its $80 a month.. which to me is just silly. So my dilema..

Im looking for anyone who is willing to loan me their motor (machine.. whatever its called). I dont have a problem purchasing the accessories (tubes, bags, etc.)

Also, if anyone is wanting to sell theirs for a decent price i will also consider.

Or if anyone has better ideas. I just cant bring myself to spend $300.

Everyone also tells me a double electric breast pump is best. So preferably one of those would be fabulous.. but like i said.. im desperate and ill take anything... maybe :)

Ah i cant stop searching.. i love these two nurseries too! One of the nurseries goes along with my same theme for the others i loved.. and one is a little more colorful than the others. I like them both.. so hard to decide.

So for reference to myself im going to be blogging about my options for baby things. So i apologize if your not interested. My next big thing is my diaper bag. i really think they are ugly.. no offense. But it is a must and i am willing to fork out some money for one that looks great and works great.. So far petunia pickle bottom has been the most reasonable.. i have two favorites.. one is more simple the other a bit more vintage. Is it weird that i would like my bag to kinda coordinate with her room.. (probably)... well here are my two options so far.

First option

Windermere Rose:

I love the color. Not bright pink.. its a bit muted. The design is busy but i enjoy how vintage the roses look. I have heard great things about the back pack option which is a plus. It also has 4 bottle holders inside and a fold out changing pad. Not sure if you use the changing pad often but its a nice bonus. Its very girlie.. but after all i am having a girl..

Second option

Afternoon in Auberdeen:

Simple. But feminine. I cant decide if i am liking the brown or if its insignificant. I do however like the design.. roses of course. It has all the same gadgets as the other.

The thing i like about these two is that i havent seen them in person yet. I will jump on the bandwagon of petunia pickle bottom diaper bags.. but Lyla has got to have a different one than everyone else. :) P.S. Dont burst my bubble if you have either of these.. jk haha

Lylas nursery

Its about that time to start planning lylas nursery.. and to be honest im a bit stumped. I feel like all my juice is gone from decorating our house. I know i want a feminine vintage room. So i went on google.. typed in those words and got some amazing ideas. I have a favorite and i know it will take me awhile to get it completed. But here are my options so far.

she has some amazing ideas i thought. I would love to incorporate my blessing dress and miles blessing outfit like she did. I need to make a decision because they are all a little different. Then i can begin my search for old furniture, old frames, paint color, and bedding!

18 weeks

Today we had an ultrasound to make sure all of Lylas insides were working properly.. We chose not to do the blood tests for down syndrome, protiens, and cystic fibrosis. After all we will love our baby girl regaurdless.. but as a precaution my Dr wanted me to go and get an ultrasound to get measurments and to check our sweet girls insides. Needless to say.. our doctor said it will be very boring once Lyla gets here cuz she is perfect.. And We peshlakais LOVE boring :). Everything looked great.. two kidneys.. five finger and toes on each.. perfect heart.. and a cute round tummy. We got some great pictures and i have one to share. I feel like we have been very lucky with all of our ultrasounds. We have gotten some great pictures and a few 4d.. which are my favorite. I think Lyla looks like a cartoon version of me.. use your imagination. She has beautiful full lips which i love. Her eyes also looked big.. My sister (nurse stephanie) said that the eye sockets never change size.. so baby Lyla might have some beautiful blues.. or browns. Either way i think she is precious.. i will try to post a few more 4d pictures soon.

We are having a girl and we are so excited! We were pretty surprised since the Chinese Gender Chart was a boy.. but we are thrilled! She was so active and kicking like crazy.. but was sure stubborn when it came to showing off her goods. It was at the very end till we saw what we were all looking for. And so happy with the results. Here are some cute picture of our baby girl.

I have a few favorite must haves.. and thought id share

#1 Benefit Lip Plump

This stuff is awesome if you are looking for a good pair of nude lips. I bring this stuff everywhere. It also lasts me a long time.. only three dabs will do ya. If you know me.. nude lips are a must.

#2 Loreal Juice Bubble Gum Gloss

I have been using my bubble gum gloss since at least 2004. It is the perfect sheen, perfect consistency, not too sticky not too slippery... JUST RIGHT! Pina Colada is also a great color if you want more of a tan nude color instead of a pink.

#3 Wispies Eyelashes

Strip lashes have been my new best friend lately. For me, its faster than doing mascara. If you know me putting on mascara is a 15 min task at least, so these wispies cut my time in half. I have found that the wispies look more natural than most of the strip lashes. Individual lashes are also great but more time consuming. They have a demi wispy lash as well for more of a subdued look.

#4 Urban Decay Oil Slick shadow

I use this Oil Slick shadow under my eyes for liner with a eyeliner brush everyday. It lasts so long. Love it!

#5 Anastasia Eyebrow Kit

If you haven't heard of Anastasia eyebrows you need to look it up. In my opinion its the best shaped eyebrow. I have had the opportunity to have my brows waxed by an Anastasia consultant and was so impressed. I walked away with this great eyebrow kit. It contains two shades of brow powder, an angled brush for precise application, a cream highlighter for application along the brow bone to lift and accentuate eyes, and a wax cream to hold your brow shape. What more can you ask for? To me a perfect brow makes a perfect face.

#6 CND Asphalt nail polish

I have this on my toes and love it. Its the perfect gray. I also like to pair it with a matte top coat like Essie Matte about you.

#7 OPI Second Honeymoon

I always love light pink on nails and i have enjoyed Second honeymoon. Its just the perfect color. Very natural, but more than just clear.

#8 DKNY Delicious Perfume

I have also been wearing my same perfume since 2004. I always get compliments and it is such a struggle for me to switch over to a new flavor. But as of late i have tried the pink and red flavors and love them. All four are great but my favorites are the green and red. I will forever be a DKNY DELICIOUS gal.

#9 Salt City Secret Garden Candle

I have tried many different flavors of candles but nothing makes my house smell better than Secret Garden. It compliments my decor and fills my whole house with its smell. Aw do i love candles. Another favorite is Anthropologies Volcano candle.. didn't go as great with my decor but its still a favorite.

#10 Beekman 1802 Soap

If you haven't watched the Beekman Boys tv show.. you must. Its on Discovery Health. They make this soap by hand and wrap each one individually. It is made from goats milk off the farm. Here is a little about it. "BEEKMAN 1802 soap is handmade from the milk of the Beekman goats, who graze freely on the land and drink the waters that once made Sharon Springs one of the most famous spa destinations in the world. BEEKMAN 1802 soap uses the highest percentage of pure goat milk possible in each bar. You may notice a faint layer of ash on the bottom of the soap, which washes away with first use. This ash affirms the bar is made from pure goat milk using non-chemical methods." They sometime sell it at Anthropologie or on their website. I love how organic it is and I'm a huge animal lover. Adorable show.. great soap.. what more can you ask for?

I never thought i would look back at my wedding pictures and think.. "Look how young we look!!" And yes we have only been married for almost 3 years, but you dont realize how much you both change in just a few years.

Have i loved the road we have been on? yes..

Would i go back to my wedding day and first year of marriage? Probably not!

Im happy with the place miles and i are at right now. Its comfortable, and easy... We understand each other and know what buttons NOT to push. Im grateful for the things i have in my life, and im grateful for the stepping stones that got me here. This is a good place.. and i hope we have a few more years in this comfortable.. easy life.

FINALLY i am able to put some pictures of the downstairs decor. I still have a long way to go and alot of stuff id like to add.. like wood floors, crown molding, and curtains but for now here is a sneak peak. My style is Vintage Romantic and a little country. Alot of my stuff is second hand and has been revamped. Dercorating has taken a special place in my heart. I really enjoy it. I feel like ive done pretty well with staying under a budget and being a smart shopper. The most expensive item has been $135. I say thats pretty good. So here is a sneak peak.. let me know what you think!

This is the front entrance. I am loving my coat rack (thank you urban renewal $50) and my nick nacks on the walls. I am also in love with my empty picture frame above the shelf, it was a great find at HomeGOODs!

My parents side yard has been a barren desert for years now. As kids we would build forts and live out there. We finally decided to demolish it and make it a lush oasis. But before it can be an oasis, there was some hard work involved. Here are some before and after pictures. We are covered in scrapes, sunburns, and slivers.

Im really happy how this turned out! I antiqued the chair a bit and beat it with a hammer to give it some texture! I found this great fabric that goes great with my colors for my house. It was on sale of course.. all in all this chair cost $20.00 (including supplies, chair, fabric, paint, staples and all)

I also bought glass pulls (hardware) for my chest. Here is a peak!

And i feel like i should give everyone a peak of my collections for my house, I have been collecting for a while now and have quite the collection! Here it all is!

I have decided to find the inner Martha in me. I have been making rings for a little hobby. Everyone is so crafty with scrapbooking, headbands, and cooking and i felt like i needed to do something of my own. So with a little brainstorming i came up with these beauties! I love them and think they are so fun and vintage. I am selling them for $10.00 each. Let me know what you guys think. The band is made with leather and the center stone varies from pearls to stones. I have about every color! I came up with the idea from a little boutique in St. George. They were selling similar rings for $40.00. I almost bought it then realized i could get crafty and make my own. So here they are.

This year we had a great Valentines day. We celebrated "love" day on friday. We purchased tickets for one of our favorite bands called FUN. It is a new band created by the singer of Format. We were excited to hear them live and had been listening to their cd for some time now. They also played with Jacks mannequin and Vedera. They were playing at the house of blues and we had some of the best spots in the house. We had a great time and cant wait for March 18 for our favorite band to perform in SLC, UT! COPELAND here we come! If anyone wants to join us we would love the company. Here is a clip from fun. Check em out.. we like em.

Miles ended the date with a surprise of roses, balloons, and my favorite chocolates Ferraro Rocher (however you say and spell them..i just think they are divine). It was really sweet and unexected.. of course i didnt take a picture, but you can take my word for it.. it was a good Valentines day.

With that said i feel like i need to tell everyone about our favorite item. We have been fans for awhile now and i dont know why i am just blogging about it.. maybe cuz i never blog but here we go. We are obsessed with Tom shoes and we think everyone should have a pair. Especially with summer coming up they are great for just slipping on. They are cofortable and breathable.
MENS: Miles personal favorite WOMENS: A nice neutral cream always goes with everything The other great thing about TOMS is for every shoe bought another is given to a child in need. ONE for ONE.

So i have always had a love and appreciation for pogs that i can date back to when i was about 5.

It was the only cool thing i collected. The other odd collections i had were winnie the pooh stuff, porceline dolls, and weird elf dolls that are extremely creepy when i see them.. but thats neither here nor there. Pogs were tight. And i was determined to have the most pogs then anyone i ever knew.. and you know what.. i did! I had the most pogs out of everyone at school.. and some of the coolest i might add. So with that being said.. i still think pogs are the coolest things ever invented... until today.. i tried this.

its amazing volumizing powder! It is called Sawrtzkopf dust it. I am converted and this is my new favorite thing.

He was in the LVRJ Newspaper yesterday.. I am so proud of him and he is doing so great! The Story is bittersweet.. while my husband is exceeding and moving forward.. someone had lost a loved one. horrible dream

So today i woke up from a horrible dream.

And it taught me some lessons.

First ill start by telling you my dream. Miles and i were at my moms and we were asked to babysit two little boys. The mother had dropped them off and we were going to head over to our house. We hopped in the car and were driving down the street. There was a car on the side of the road with a skinny skinny man and two sad little girls. Miles being miles (once a police officer always a police officer) he stops to make sure everything was ok. (MISTAKE #1) Before i know it this skinny man pulls out a gun and starts shooting us for money to feed his kids. Let me reming you i have two little boys in our car. Miles luckily had his gun and signals me to drive. I drove down the street to a womans house and called 911. And then, I woke up. I had to know what happened so i forced myself to go back to bed.. When i feel asleep Miles and i and my family were walking into my parents house when we notice a skinny skinny man sitting on the side porch. Miles and i recognize him and i started freaking out. (in this dream miles wasnt the smart one) Miles invited the skinny skinny man into the house. (MISTAKE #2) We give him food and water and miles hands him over his spare gun for protection. (MISTAKE #3) Then we sent the skinny skinny man on his way. We decided to go for a walk. We were walking by a huge garbage bin when BANG. My ears went quiet. I couldnt hear a single sound and i felt my body slowly falling to the ground. The skinny skinnt man shot me in the head. And then i woke up.

Lesson #1 Never trust anyone

Your looking at two first time home buyers

wish us luck..its a stressful road out there.

So after a year of renting a beautiful home here in las vegas, we have decided to go ahead and buy our first home. We have been pre approved, which was a stressful thing in itself. I never thought i would ever have to share all my financial secrets to anyone. I hear once you do it once.. it just gets easier. So now that we are pre approved we are on the lookout. At times it has been a little upsetting. The poor foreclosures are a mess.. and all i have to say is KARMA PEOPLE! It really hurts my heart to see the damage that has been done. Beautiful homes on the outside.. destroyed on the inside. Luckily i have been blessed with a dad who is as handy as handy can get and i have a father in law that knows his stuff and has every tool at home depot. We are constantly reminding ourselves of the bright light at the end of the tunnel! It does get me excited to go to home depot and look at all the upgrades i will be able to do to our home! So with that being said.. sorry i havent posted in awhile.. but now we have something exciting going on in our lives.. so expect more posts to come! Wish us luck.

This memorial day weekend we decided to go out to california and enjoy ourselves for a bit. We left Saturday afternoon and got there around 7:00pm. He did it! I am so proud of Miles. He has been in the police academy for 6 months and everything finally payed off when the badge was pinned on and he was considered a real police officer. He has done such a great job and i cant brag enough! He will be one of the best! He truly deserves this position and has worked so hard to get this far! He is my companion, my idol, a bestfriend, a role model, a wonderful husband, and will some day be a wonderful father. So when we moved into our house we had a bunch of rose bushes on the back side of our house.. personally i think rose bushes arent very pretty and i have heard they are such maintenance. We havent started our backyard yet and it doesnt look so pretty... until the other day i noticed this beauty. These rose bushes i swear havent been watered or havent been cut back.. they were lacking some love.. and this was their sign to me that its time for me to show them some love or i am just a really good gardener. Either way i am proud to say the good thing about rose bushes is having fresh flowers in your house at all times.

We were lucky enough to be invited to the Hodson Cabin. I had been once before but it had been years since id seen it. We were all so excited and couldnt wait for a vacation. It was our (me and miles) first real vacation married. I guess since we have been married we have had lots of spare time in the beginning and no money.. and now we can afford to take a vacation but cant afford the time! BUT we finally made some time and drove up! We went throught zion because of a landslide up in cedar canyon. I actually enjoyed he Zion way.. we loved the tunnels through the mountain.thats the tunnel (use your imagination)We had just arrived to the cabin and decided to go down and pick up the snowmobiles! My favorite.. Us three girls posed for our night rideand the boys thought they were really cool (thumbs up dude)Our snowmobiling pack..aaron on the far right thinks hes on top of the world We may bring four suitcases and seem high maintence but we can be pretty tuff All in all we had a great trip! Thank you so much Hodson/Allreds! You guys are awesome! We had a blast! and for the record.. i DID go snowmoboarding.. hence the white scarf on my head.. thanks grandma barbara for keeping my ears so warm!

Merry Christmas

We had a great Christmas. I got plenty of clothes, nail polish, candy, accesories, and the best present of all.. my bed frame! I get it tomorrow.. i will for sure take a picture and post! Miles got a paintball vest, paintball mask, new vans, and shirts! We thank everyone for our gifts. Spending Christmas with family is wonderful.. the older i get the more i enjoy just being with my family on christmas.. but gifts will always be a nice touch! here is a christmas photo of our family.

Happy 50 Big Rich! Happy birthday dad! You have been the greatest dad a girl could ask for! I love you so much and so glad i was able to celebrate your birthday with you! You have been a huge example to not only me but steph parker and miles. You always leave an impression on everyone you talk to! Christmas FIESTA

Its been a while since ive blogged.. due to a house guest i had, things have been quite busy! We had a really great christmas! I wish i had more pictures! We have a family tradition with my moms side of the family. We are semi-mexs (kinda mexican) and we have a mexican christmas fiesta every year! Its delicious and great to see family! Snow day

Well for us vegans its another snow day.. and a bigger snow day! I love it! I feel like im in utah again! Here are a few pictures from earlier.. i need to take one in the morning.. its snowed alot more than this! the front yardback yard
